In Selangor, the civil and structural consulting engineer must submit the landscape architectural plans, together with other plans to the OSC.Otherwise, the submission will be rejected by the counter clerk of the OSC.
The duty of the land scape arcitect is to design and submit the soft and hard scape for the factory and warehouse.
Different local authorities in Selangor have their own choice of plants to be planted in their area of juridiction. Moreover, the plants to be specified also differ in different locations of a local authorities.
Therefore, in choosing the landscape architect for the job, the civil and structural engineer, usually choose the landscape architect, familiar with the work of the particular local authorities.
There are not many landscape architects around in Selangor, I usually obtain the list of the landscape architects from the Landscape department of the particular local authorities.
If you cannot get a list of the landscape architects from the local authorities, you may find them in the Yellow Pages or the ILAM(Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia).
